The iwi group
Larry Isaacson graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953. After serving two years in the US Army, he was employed by American Cyanamid in Research and Development and became Technical Product Manager at the Formica Division. He left Cyanamid in 1968 and purchased Best Concrete Products Co., a block company in Atlanta, Ga. He remained in this business until 1979. Best specialized in the manufacture of architectural units and, because few block companies were in this market at that time, shipped by rail through-out the southeast and even into the midwest and other areas of the country.
When Best closed due to the Atlanta airport expansion, Larry started I & F Equipment, Inc. whose principal business was brokering used equipment relative to the concrete products industry, both in the domestic and the international market place. During this period, he also helped develop a mist curing process based on research performed at several block operations and which iwi group markets today.
In addition to I & F, Larry also founded Masonry Processes, Inc. to promote Decro-Face® textured concrete masonry. Based on patents which he holds, this attractive masonry unit is being manufactured by a number of licensees throughout the US.
Because of the experience he has attained, Larry is called upon to do both general consulting and asset appraisals within the industry. He is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers and is a past president of the Atlanta chapter.
Clay Warner, while pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tri-State College in Michigan, was employed by Chevrolet Motor Division/GM in the Process Engineering and Tool Design Department and gained extensive experience as team member designing automated production machinery and associated tooling.
Following college, he joined Charles J. Rogers Construction Company - a major underground construction firm - and learned civil engineering and surveying skills on the job. In 1970 he was recruited by Marsh Concrete Pipe Company for the position of Company Engineer and learned the intricacies of the concrete products industry "hands on", while applying his engineering knowledge to new production tooling and processes. Clay accepted the position of Technical Director with the American Concrete Pipe Association in 1972 and later moved to Atlanta as Vice-President of Engineering for ARC Kyle Inc./Amey Roadstone in 1976.
Clay Warner + Associates was formed in 1980 with the principal focus on providing technical and managerial advice and engineering services to the concrete products manufacturers. A subsidiary, Conquip®, was also established as a brokerage/secondary market maker for used equipment specific to the concrete products industry.
Presently Clay's professional affiliations include membership and seats on governing committees within the National Precast Concrete Association, the American Concrete Institute - Atlanta Chapter, the American Concrete Pipe Association, the American Society of Testing Materials - Committee c-13 on Concrete Pipe and Committee c-27 on Precast Concrete Utility Structures.

Dan brings a wealth of experience to iwi group both with his practical knowledge of equipment design and his creative approach to resolving manufacturing problems.
After studying Business Administration at Young Harris College, Dan Faulkner began his career in the concrete industry at Ideal Steel Products fabricating custom concrete batch plants where he became VP and General Manager. His duties included complete layout and design of both batch plant and other specialty equipment, management of all administrative functions, and implementation of all cost control methods. In 1985, he developed and patented a long wearing conveyor idler roller which the company marketed and which is still used today. In 1993, while at Ideal Steel he was introduced to a European company that manufactured specialty products for the concrete industry and noticed they had a unique design for a screw conveyor for handling cement and other powders used in concrete. Recognizing the value of this product to the concrete industry he approached the company to bring the product to the U.S. and negotiated with WAM, Inc. to manufacture this screw conveyor, which today is the standard for concrete production. In 1997, he became Manufacturing Director for WAM, Inc. and was instrumental in building their production facility and establishing their manufacturing process in the U.S.
In 2002 Dan joined iwi and was instrumental in increasing the product line to include a complete range of batching equipment and expanded the company further into the ready mix industry. In 2006 in recognition of his contribution to the growth of iwi, Dan was made a partner and looks forward to continuing the growth of the company as the industry and technology expands.
Brent Hardie's career in the concrete products industry started in parts and service for batch plant components in 2001. Here he learned how to service and repair major batch plant components, gaining an appreciation of their value. At the end of 2004 he joined iwi to handle inside sales and has since grown in knowledge of the entire concrete industry. He is active in brokering used block, pipe, and wet cast equipment. Selling used concrete products equipment has given Brent an understanding of how values of this equipment are determined and he now participates in many evaluation studies.
Brent is certified to service Sioux steam cleaners and hot water heaters and to increase his knowledge of the industry has recently completed a course in 'Pipe Production Methods' from the Hawkeye Group.
